Have you walked the" Marketing Trail of Tears" like many?

 

I've been involved in work at home businesses in one form or another for over 5 years. I've tried the nutrition thing; I've tried the telecom thing.
 
In my experience the drawback is that, although some products are really good, many of these products and programs are too costly for a working family.

In today's economy the product or service would have to damn near be a necessity - meaning you must have or use the product daily and there is no substitute - to justify that product or service in your budget.  I am not trying to say that every product that is marketed through direct marketing has an outrageous price tag.  I am simply saying that many of them do in my experience.

So what if you like the nutritional products or internet service you get locally, where does that leave you in the work from home world?  

When it comes to a work from home business, what do you seek?

Here are the criteria I used when choosing my primary home business.

1.    The product and or service must benefit many people.  (Duh! Number 1 is a standard business practice)

2.    The product, service, and business have to make sense to me. (If something doesn’t make sense most people discount it; I'm one of these folks.)

3.    The product or service has to be something I’d use.  (Why on earth would I promote something I wouldn’t use myself. That’d be silly)

4.    The business compensation must provide a way to sustain my business while I work to grow it.   (If I'm not making enough to keep the doors open in a new business, I'm not in business; I'm digging a hole)

5.    I must be able to help others grow their business too.  (Many good people have helped me through the years; I’d like to do the same for others!)

What did I choose and Why?

I chose Unselfish Wealth as my primary home business.  Why? Because it meets my above criteria.  Most of all it provides me a way to work with others and help them on their journey from making some extra money toward financial independence.
 
After walking the “Network Marketing Trail of Tears” so to speak, the team philosophy that is Unselfish Wealth was the decision maker for me.

*** I dropped Spiderweb and GDI!  Why?*** 

Yes folks, that is the Million Dollar question for the day. WHY? Why would I do that? Well first of all SpiderWeb is NOT free in spite of what they say. The first thing they hit you with is GDI which costs and several others too, so they misrepresent the program and I don't like being lied to, and because I found a way better paying System that works. And why do people like the Queen of Internet Marketing, Rachel Long  join with us?

Why are so many of our friends joining?Friends that are already in many popular programs of the day, like SpiderWeb, GDI, Project Payday, Direct Matches, Mega Wealth, SFI, Cash Gifting, ASD, SFI, Berry Tree, $3.00 Matrix and others, are streaming in flocks to join with us. Many already with 100's in their respective groups are joining. In fact, old MLM'ers that are already making 6 and 7 figure a year incomes are coming out of retirement to promote this business.

WHY?

Well the answer is very simple folks. Because this is a quality program and it WORKS and pays us better. I'm not saying this from hearsay. I'm a member of many of those mentioned above so I know what they pay personally. I don't promote them anymore. I only promote ONE business and that is Unselfish Wealth. The System that get us PAID!

In today’s online marketing world we hear everything about products and systems.  Everything is the latest and greatest; the technology involved is beyond comprehension, the science behind the scenes will leave you astonished.

We’re also presented with statistics that indicate 95 -97% of all online marketers fail to make a profit in their ventures.  I’ve searched the web for weeks now trying to find the origin of these stats.  Funny thing is I found many marketing pages that present them but I never found the origin of the 95 – 97% failure statistics.  – If you can point me to the origin of these widely used statistics, I’d greatly appreciate it.

I’ve been going cross-eyed looking at splash page after splash page.  In this process I found many company pages that have lots of success stories. But… some of these companies are so new that these stories have a stench of falsehood.   I don’t want to say these statements are straight from the bovine community, but when things often smell of falsehood there’s a bull around somewhere – if you catch my drift.

If we dissect any opportunity or product, what is the single question most likely asked by an individual that finds your page?  That question is: What’s In It For ME or WIIFM?

Plain and Simple; the product or service must answer the “What’s In It For Me?” question before anyone will entertain what you’re offering.  If you’re not dialed in to station WIIFM, you’re not going to convert very many visitors into prospects.

I am not trying to be disrespectful or discourteous to anyone’s products or services.  I am simply pointing out that the average visitor is looking to a solution to a problem. 

If you’re looking for a business, I recommend looking for something you feel strongly about.  Find a product or service that you would or will use yourself; that will make promoting it much easier because that product or service solved a problem for you and you have your own story to tell about that experience.

If you’re already in business, make sure you target a market that has a need and hit that market between the eyes with your solution.  Educate yourself on your product and services so that you are a knowledgeable resource for your customers and team members. Solve the problem your market has and you will experience positive results.

Once I tried to have a website where folks that like to write could post their material for others to read. Back then I didn't know how to get the thing off the ground so I shut it down. On that site there was a section I wanted to keep updated regularly. It was called "Scattered Thoughts".

I thought I share the random thoughts. Here goes!

If talk is cheap, why do lawyers charge so much?

If history repeats itself, why do so many people choose not to learn the first time?

Do fish blink?

Are all politicians incapable of being honest?

Does anyone really listen to celebrities that give public service announcements?

What in the heck is “Trans Fat” on a food label?

With so many TV channels these days, how can anyone say “there’s nothing to watch”?

Why do side effects of new prescription medicine sound worst than the problem they intend to cure?

If vegetable oil comes from vegetables, where does baby oil come from?!

If the physic hotlines are supposed to be real, why do they ask for your name? Wouldn’t they know already?
