Using Twitter and Skype To Cut the Need For SPAM

Moving communications to different avenues leads to having a greater chance to get to know each other. I find that if people want to know what I'm working on and if I want to know what my friends, colleagues and mentors are doing I either Skype them or follow them on Twitter. Twitter is like over the shoulder marketing. It allows you to share with many people what you are currently working on without you having to contact them. They are free to look at your twitter and see what it is your are doing and working on at their leisure. To see what I'm talking about go to My Twitter and follow me. Skype is one of my mainline communication tools. The reason why I use skype more than any other messenger service is because it has a built in transcript called a history. The benefit of this is that when nobody is home the message you leave them will still be there if you go off line. I also like the fact that it gives me the capability of instantly communicating with members of my team via user generated chatroom.
